An English/American theme was chosen for this the 6th year with our special hosts.&lt;br /&gt;The concert opened with Sullivan's Iolanthe overture followed by Holst Wind Quintet in Ab and ending the first half with a new arrangement by Newbiggin composer Derek Hobbs - Five Northumbrian Songs. &lt;br /&gt;Samuel Barber's Summer Music appropriately began the second half, followed by Belle Epoque en Sud America - a set of 3 South American dances by Medaglio. Gershwin's Promenade brought the concert to a close, with time for an encore of I Got Rhythm. The concert opened with Danzi's Quintet in G minor, followed by 2 short pieces by Fritz Kreisler and Paul Patterson's Westerley Winds based on 4 west country folk tunes. The programme began with a Goepfart quartet in D minor, Dave played an Arioso by Fiocco accompanied by Robin, followed by a Telemann Trio Sonata in F major. Malcolm Arnold's Divertimento for Wind Trio was an energetic wake up call followed by Jonathan playing the Larghetto from Mozart's Clarinet Quintet. These opened the concert and were surprisingly well received. &lt;br /&gt;The Taffanel Quintet was followed by an interval in the beautiful garden of our hosts Sue and Peter&lt;br /&gt;In the second half we played the Danzi Quintet in Bb major and an arrangement of Bizet's Jeux d'Enfants. The early evening concert was in aid of Amnesty International.&lt;br /&gt;The programme included Mozart's Magic Flute Overture, Hindemith Kleine Kammermusik, Farkas Hungarian Dances, Danzi Quintet in G minor and Hallum Dance Suite. &lt;br /&gt;Hazel and Dave played the Quantz C minor Trio Sonata with continuo accompaniment from Jonathan on spinet and Harriet, bassoon. Harriet and Hazel (recorders) performed 2 movements from a Telemann Trio Sonate in F major, and Hazel and Dave played 2 movements from the A minor Trio Sonata by Telemann.
