North Wind

North Wind comprise flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. We share a passion for music and performance and play a wide variety of music ranging from baroque through to contemporary.We have performed regularly together since 1999 in a variety of venues, primarily in the North of England.

As well as concerts, we have also played for weddings, memorial services, car launchings, art exhibitions and formal dinners. Our programmes are devised individually to provide a variety of musical styles for each occasion.

School workshops

Two local Primary schools were our first venues as a newly formed group. The children of Monkhouse Primary School and Chillingham Road Primary School enjoyed listening to the 4th movement of the Mozart Divertimento no.12, Carnival of the Animals, Clog Dance from Herold's La Fille Mal Garde and The Pink Panther by Mancini.
