North Wind
North Wind comprise flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. We share a passion for music and performance and play a wide variety of music ranging from baroque through to contemporary.We have performed regularly together since 1999 in a variety of venues, primarily in the North of England.
As well as concerts, we have also played for weddings, memorial services, car launchings, art exhibitions and formal dinners. Our programmes are devised individually to provide a variety of musical styles for each occasion.

Ouseburn Open Studios
The last weekend in November sees the return of the Ouseburn Open Studios. The event gives the public the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the region's leading studios and galleries.
North Wind quintet provided live music on the Saturday and Sunday in 36 Lime Street. (www.36limestreet.co.uk)

Morpeth Flood Relief
In a fundraising concert titled 'An evening of light classical and lively jazz music' in aid of the Morpeth Flood Relief, North Wind shared the programme with The Bewick Orchestra and KEVI Community Jazz Band at St James's Church in Morpeth.
Dave performed the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba with the Bewick Orchestra. The quintet then played Gershwin's Promenade, Agay's Five Easy Dances, The Pink Panther, 4 movements from the Capriol Suite and finished with the Can Can.
